18-25 January 2018 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, 

  • Fellowship Meal. The speaker for the fellowship meal on Wednesday 24 January will be Dr Gemma Simmons CJ, who will (appropriately) be speaking on Christian Unity.  The meal will be at KBC at 7 pm. Tickets (price £4) are available from Chris Robins. 
  • United Service, Sunday 21st, 6.30pm, St Mary’s.
  • Prayers at 12.00 midday as follows: Thursday 18th at St Thomas More; Friday 19th at Methodist Church; Saturday 20th at Hampton Poyle; Monday 22nd at KBC; Tuesday 23rd at St John’s; Wednesday 24th at St Mary’s; Thursday 25th at St Thomas More.

Saturday 27th January KBC Men's Breakfast

2018 has arrived, to be followed by the first KBC men's breakfast of the year, to which all men are warmly invited.  This will be held on Saturday 27th January at 8.30 am at KBC, with an after-breakfast talk by Akin Adeniran on: "The Christian Man in the Modern World"

Akin is well known to many of us at KBC as an interesting speaker, and to many in the community as the provider of an invaluable pharmacy service at Exeter Hall. As well as being a qualified pharmacist, Akin has many interests and has completed the ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro for charity.

For Junior Church children from age 3 to the end of school year 6. In the church hall

11th and 18th February  at 7.00pm

Two talks on “How the Old Testament and the New Testament were written” by Dr. Stephen Herring and Andrew Persson. These will cover such subjects as: recent research on when the different books were written; what is our Bible translated from; what language did Jesus speak; how can anyone tell what the ancient manuscripts mean?

Saturday 3 March NTLIVE - Walk through the Bible 10am - 4.30pm 

  • See the Big Picture of the New Testament in 5 fun-filled sessions
  • Read the New Testament with fresh understanding
  • Learn how to tell a friend the whole storyline in just a few minutes

Cost £14 which includes a workbook. If you have attended the New Testament course previously you can come again free of charge. Children aged 11-16 are also free if accompanied by an adult. A light lunch will be provided. Please contact Gillian Bullock if you would like to sign up or know more.
