New Year Jazz Evening

UCCF are hosting the event in partnership with Oxford and Cotswold churches as part of Passion for Life and it’s going to be a unique opportunity to get a group of friends together, have a brilliant evening out, with a gentle evangelistic tone.

The event is on Friday 24th January 2014, starting at 7.30pm and finishing around 9.30pm. It’s called “I wish I knew how it would feel to be free” – it’s a one-off evening of world-class jazz music with drinks and canapés, with the Bill Edgar Jazz Trio from Philadelphia, USA. Over the course of the evening we’ll discover the background of jazz, as the Trio present the theme of freedom told through the African American story in blues music, followed by a short epilogue exploring what personal freedom feels like. There are invitation cards for handing to friends/family in the vestibule by the sanctuary doors. The tickets are £12 (£8 concessions; or 4 for £40), available online at
