Our Vision 2026

 We want all our groups and gatherings to be saturated with prayer and praise, so that disciples of all ages and stages of life, from all backgrounds and nationalities, may know God and give him glory, being transformed in the process by his Holy Spirit.

We want to give God’s Word a preeminent place in our proclaiming, preaching, teaching, conversing, resourcing and learning, such that it is let loose to do its deep and saving surgery on our souls; forming us as disciples, and shaping our worldview and life together. 

We want our community to be a place of friendship, fun, fellowship, and care, where all are seen and loved and everyone is empowered to play their part; becoming available to one another as we weep with those who weep, and rejoice with those who rejoice. 

We believe the church also exists for the benefit of those beyond its boundaries. We want to make Jesus known through deliberate personal and collective witness, enabling people in our community to encounter him and respond to the invitation to become his disciples. 

We believe it is important to gather in smaller groups and to nurture deeper relationships as we help one another to grow as disciples on our daily frontlines. We want to journey together as we seek to better connect with God, one another, and our community.

 Children’s and youth work has been part of our DNA since our very beginnings - in fact it predates us! We remain passionate about enabling younger members of our church, town and region to get to know Jesus for themselves and choose to become his disciples.

 As disciples of Jesus, who ‘went about doing good’ (Acts 10:38), we want to likewise share God’s peace, and practically express his love and provision towards those struggling with mental, material, relational and spiritual challenges in our community.  

We are passionate about Jesus’ Great Commission to make disciples of all nations, and want to play our part in supporting and resourcing the advance of God’s Kingdom and justice beyond our postcode through mission partners and our ten percent fund. 

 As disciples of Jesus, we want to more faithfully exercise our responsibility towards the world God has made, and to be a prophetic witness and force for good in our community towards a response to climate change and the social injustices it leads to. 

We believe in ‘every member ministry’, and want to be a place where all the gifts that God’s Spirit has poured out upon his church, including leadership, are recognised, encouraged, developed and deployed for the glory of God and growth of his Kingdom. 

We want our organisational, financial and material structures, resources and processes to be transparent, exemplary, and thoroughly mission-enabling, so that the work of God can advance with integrity and no impediment: smoothly, soundly and surefootedly. 

 God gave his people sabbath days and years, festivals and jubilees, and did so for their good and for his glory. We believe in setting aside time to downtools, rest and reflect, to remember that we are human, guard against striving, and celebrate God’s goodness.
