Eco Novena

From the 10th-19th October KBC will be hosting what we're calling an 'Eco Novena'* - 9 days of continuous prayer with a special emphasis on the environment, as the nations prepare to gather for the COP26 conference in Glasgow. We'll be praying with our friends from other churches in the village, and will hosting a large, ambient and interactive prayer space in our building with lots of information, prompts, and media to furnish our prayers. These will be particularly geared towards the climate crisis (although of course you can use the space to pray however you feel led).

We will be joined by our brothers and sisters from the other churches, and the space will be open to the public from 1-5pm Mon-Sat. To sign up for an hour’s slot (or 2 or 5!) use the sign up tool: https://www.24-7prayer.com/signup/ec0889. Here's a link to the friendly video guide to booking.

If your group or school would like to book the prayer space for exclusive use at some point during this period, or you would like more information please email us at prayer@kidlington-baptist.org.uk

A printable pdf with more information about the why’s, how’s and FAQ’s etc can also be found here.

*The word 'Novena' comes from the Latin for 'nine' and has traditionally been used to refer to a nine day period of devotion or prayer.'

The Eco Novena will be part of a broader community eco festival running throughout October.
